Incorporating a Singapore Private Limited Company

In accordance with the Singapore Companies Act, any person (foreign or local) above the age of 18 can register a Singapore company with only one shareholder, who can be an individual or a corporation. The shareholder(s) need not be a resident in Singapore.

Minimum paid up capital is $1. The company can be formed with an issued capital of S$ 1 that can be subsequently increased if required.

However, Singapore is governed by a set of statutory requirements for starting and operating a company.   It will be prudent and in the best interest of your company (both local as well as foreign entrepreneurs) to engage the services of a professional and competent firm to manage your affairs.
